Back when it was warm

So, now it's Thursday, and I just spent 2 hours freezing my tail off at a baseball game where it was windy and 58 degrees. BRR. But last weekend, last GLORIOUS MARVELOUS weekend, was Memorial Day Weekend, and it was 90. To recap, there were many meals capped off with ice cream:
There was a lot of time spent with the hose:
And the water guns:
And of course, since we have a two-year-old, there was a lot of "No, No, No, dat's MY [fill in the blank]":
And finally, a trip to the zoo on Monday:
[wherein Noodle rode a camel - oh yes, she is terrified of dogs and cats, but she rode a REAL LIVE CAMEL, and she did it not only without mom and dad, but with a little girl she met 5 seconds ago in line].
We also went to Topeka for a soccer game on Friday night; to the neighborhood pool RIGHT when it opened for the season at 10 AM Saturday; back to the neighborhood pool on Sunday morning, yes, at 10 AM; and we had 2 cookouts in our backyard. Busy but fun weekend! Missing those warm temperatures now...

Movin on up

Mother's Day is moving up the list and just might be making a run at replacing Thanksgiving as my favorite holiday. Because there are things like this:
And this:
Nice and fun every day! Really?? Moi?
And finally, at the end of the day, while stuffing myself with sushi and teppanyaki, this:
It's just about the best day ever.

Rad Like Dad

Look what kind of shirt gets purchased when mom goes out of town:
Also, this is the face Truck makes when I say "smile":

Fore!

Truck is ready to golf. We signed his big sister up for a league this summer and so of course, he is into it too. He likes to hit the balls and run around yelling "I WHACK it, I WHACK it!"

Yellow cart

When I saw this item at the toy store the day before his birthday, I knew I had to get it for Truck.
One of his favorite things is going to the grocery store and riding in a "yellow cart." One of his least favorite things is when "yellow cart" is not available.
And now, he has his own personal yellow cart. HAPPY HAPPY boy!

Gorilla

Truck likes the idea of ice cream. Just not so much the actual product. He's not crazy about things that are cold. His flavor of choice is vanilla, pronounced "gorilla." He usually takes one bite on a spoon and licks it, plays with it, generally does anything to avoid eating it. We went out for ice cream recently and I let his big brother and sister devour his bowl after he was "done."
They were pleased.
